Clodovil progeny Clodhopper extended her unbeaten record on the track to three in the Kempton Jockey Club Venues Fillies Handicap. The Gay O’Callaghan bred three-year-old looked progressive in her two wins over 6f and improved again with this win. She produced a smart turn of pace down the outside inside the last to win with a bit in hand. Trainer Jamie Osborne said jockey Jim Crowley “was brave to be so far back in slowly run race.” And as the Racing post proclaimed “she got the trip well off this modest gallop and her style of running suits the races one often gets on this surface.”
