Baitha Alga a 5th individual winner for Fast Company

The Richard Hannon trained Baitha Alga notched up a 5th individual winner for his sire Fast Company in the 2yo Maiden at Chester. Al Shaqab have now decided to send him to Royal Ascot, he will probably contest the Coventry. The colt was purchased for £210,000 at DBS Premier Sale by Nicolas de Watrigant for Al Shaqab Racing. Baitha Alga was switched right to make his challenge, taking the lead inside the final furlong. He was bred by Francie and Theresa Killen, and is the third foal of his winning dam Tawaafur (Fantastic Light), who is a half-sister to the G3 Minstrel Stakes winner Shibl (Arazi) and the G2 Bowling Green winner Elhayq (Nashwan). Their dam Mahasin (Danzig) won twice and is a half-siter to the G1 Futurity winner and Sire Al Hareb (El Gran Senor). From the family of G1 Prix Morny winner My Boy Charlie. Tawaafur has a yearling full-sister that was purchased at Goffs November Foal Sale.
