Lot 71 Grey Colt Mastercraftsman ex Tencarola
Mastercraftsman’s first crop was stellar and included 6 Group winners including The Grey Gatsby (Gr.1 Irish Champion Stakes and Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club ) and Kingston Hill (Gr.1 St. Leger and Gr.1 Racing Post Trophy). The Danehill / Night Shift cross of Tencacola ’13 has proven itself to be highly successful. Mares by Night Shift have produced Stakes winners to several sons of Danehill, they clearly suit this line. This year’s prime example is Royal Ascot Gr.2 Queen Mary and Gr.2 Lowther Stakes placed Anthem Alexander whose sire Starspangled Banner is Danehill line and dam Lady Alexander is by Night Shift.
Winning dam Tencarola was Listed placed in the Prix Zeddaan and herself has produced three winners. This is the family of Gr.3 Prix Gontaut-Biron winner Muroto.

Lot 115 Brown Colt Holy Roman Emperor ex Zoumie
Holy Roman Emperor has proven himself to be a consistent son of Danehill – especially in Hong Kong with the exploits of 3 time Gr.1 winner Designs On Rome (QE11 Cup). He has also been well represented in Europe by Gr.1 1,000 Guineas winner Homecoming Queen and Gr.2 Kilboy Estate Stakes victor Mango Diva. Holy Roman Emperor himself was a classy performer winning the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes and Prix Jean Luc Lagardere.
Dam Zoumie’s half brother Croisultan has won £133,556 for his connections is wins such as the Listed Belgrave Stakes and he has been Gr.3 placed five times in the Gladness Stakes, the Renaissance Stakes and the Ballycorus Stakes.

Lot 194 Chestnut Colt Fast Company ex Convidada
Fast Company has had 23 individual winners in his first crop – the best of these is Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes Winner Baitha Alga and Gr.2 Flying Childers / Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes placed Fast Act. Mauricio Delcher Sanchez trained Convidada won 3 times in the silks of Maurice Burns. The tough, consistent Trans Island mare was one of the leading fillies in Spain and one of her biggest victories was in a £30,000 EBF Fillies race. Convidada’s dam Provacatrice was a highly successful broodmare, her best included Gr.2 placed Pardus, Gr.3 placed Provolino and Listed scorer Pacific Blue. This is the family of Precious Boy (Gr.2 German 2,000 Guineas winner).

Lot 298 Grey Filly Clodovil ex Justice System
Clodovil is an ultra consistent Group producing Sire by Danehill. In 2014, he has sired 11 Stakes horses including Gr.2 Lennox Stakes winner Es Que Love, Gr. 2 Eagle Farm Cup winner Moriarty, Group 3 Criterion Stakes winner Gregorian and dual Gr.3 winner Berkarar. This Clodovil filly is a full sister in blood to Moriarty. Moriarty has accumulated prize money of £682,506 for his connections. He was originally trained by Richard Hannon Snr. to be placed in the Gr.3 Gallinule Stakes and Listed Feilden Stakes. Then he switched to Chris Waller in Sydney and won three Gr.2 races ; the Brisbane Cup, the Bacardi Hill Stakes and the Eagle Farm Cup. Moriarty was also 2rd in the Gr.1 MacKinnon Stakes to Side Glance and placed in the Gr.1 Chipping Norton Stakes. This is the family of Lear Spear – winner of the Gr.2 Prince of Wales Stakes, the Gr.3 Select Stakes and the Gr.3 Diomed Stakes. Lear Spear was also Gr.1 placed in the Hong Kong Cup before he went on to become a sire.

Showcasing is one of the leading first season sires of 2014. He has had 29 individual winners. His best representative has been Cappella Sansavero winner of the G.3 Round Tower Stakes and the Listed Marble Hill Stakes, he has also been Gr.1 placed in the Coventry and the Pheonix Stakes. And Gr.2 Mill Reef Stakes winner Toocoolforschool. Night Symphonie is bred on the same Oasis Dream / Sadler’s wells cross as Approve (Oasis Dream ex Wyola (Sadler’s Wells). Approve won the Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes and the Gr. 2 Norfolk Stakes before retiring to stud. This is the family of Nordtanzerin – Germany’s Champion 2yo filly of 2005.

Lot 415 Halling ex Our Day Will Come
Halling’s flagbearer for 2014 has been Cavalryman won has been campaigned in Dubai to win the Gr.3 Dubai Gold Cup and Nad Al Sheba Trophy, in Europe he has won the Gr.1 Goodwood Cup and the Gr.2 Princess of Wales Stakes. This Halling is a ¾ brother in blood to Gr.1 Nearctic placed Longhunter (Halling) – winner of the Listed Blenheim Stakes, Alley Stakes and Kentucky Cup turf Dash Stakes.
