30 Oct 2014
Clodovil €10,000 1st October
Born To Sea €10,000 1st October
Fast Company €7,500 1st October
Bungle Inthejungle €5,000 1st October
Es Que Love €5,000 1st October
Born To Sea has his first foals coming to the market in coming weeks. He has an incredible pedigree, being by sire of sires Invincible Spirit and a half brother to proven stallions Galileo and Sea The Stars. He has been very well supported so he has a great chance of keeping up the successful stallion producing family tradition.
Fast Company has had a good year with his first runners, siring 26 individual winners to date including Baitha Alga, winner of the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. His yearlings have been in demand making £140,000 and €130,000 so he deserves a slight fee increase.
Clodovil continues to be a highly consistent sire and has had another good year with 15 Stakes performers in 2014, highlighted by Es Que Love’s Group 2 win and 62% of his two year olds winning.
We have two exciting new sires for the 2015 season;
Bungle Inthejungle was one of the top two year old sprinters of his generation winning both the Molecomb and the Cornwallis. Bungle Inthejungle is by Exceed and Excel - the world’s leading sire of two year old Stakes winners. He reminds me so much of our old boy Mujadil with his speed, toughness and honesty. He should put size and strength into his foals.
And, Es Que Love who we know well as he was born and raised here at Rathasker and will stand alongside his sire Clodovil. Throughout his career he showed the soundness of wind and limb that we all wish to see in our racehorses. Es Que Love was a high class sprinter/miler as shown with his win in this year’s Group 2 Lennox Stakes beating Group 1 winners Garswood and Toormore. His Northern Dancer / Ahonoora cross is a proven stallion producing nick with the likes of New Approach and Acclamation excelling. He is full of quality with an elegance of movement that he should pass on to his progeny.
