Orvar wins Listed International Trakya. Closley related Fast Company colt for Goffs foal sales

Richard Hannon Jr. won the valuable two-year-old race in Veliefendi with Orvar, in the colours of Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar. Making his sixth career start, Orvar won his maiden on debut at Salisbury and was stepped straight up to Stakes company in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes, where he was sixth behind Washington DC. He then ran three and three-quarter lengths behind Shalaa in the Gr.2 July Stales, was second to the Gimcrack Stakes-third Raucous in a conditions event at Newmarket and was fifth, beaten two lengths, in the valuable DBS Premier Yearling Stakes at York on his last start. Orvar is out of an unraced Grand Lodge half-sister to the Listed Bullet Sprint Stakes-third Roker Park and the dams of the Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes winner and Gr.1 National Stakes runner-up Shaweel, the Gr.1 Irish 1,000 Guineas and Gr.1 Garden Stakes scorer Samitar and the Gr.3 Albany Stakes winner Nijoom Dubai. Rathasker owns Orvar's half sister by Iffraj, Zahr Alyasmeen ,and she has a strong colt foal by Fast Company for the Goffs November foal sales 2015.
