IZZER WINS THE BROCKLESBY

Homebred Izzer (Clodovil ex Broadway Musical) sent off at 4-1 for this traditional juvenile turf opener, the Brocklesby”, was forced to chase the strong early pace before moving smoothly to lead with two furlongs to race. Tackled soon afterby Broken Spear, the 11,000gns Tattersalls October yearling dug in to assert and score by ¾ of a length. Trained by Mick Channon, Izzer showed guts and determination to gallop all the way to the line.  The winner is the first foal out of a relative of the top-class group and grade 1 scorers Dank, Eagle Mountain and Sulk. Her 2017 offspring is a filly by Anjaal. Congratulations to owners Christopher Wright and David Hudd!
