Rathasker bred Samara Bay wins Catterick Nursery

23 Jul 2020

This was the first nursery of the season and Samara Bay (Mehmas ex Avizare) tracked the leaders before coming through to take it up inside the final quarter of a mile and winning comfortably. Syndicate manager Nick Bradley said, “I was delighted to see Samara Bay win today at Catterick. She was winning all her work in April and May and it was just a case of us running her over the wrong trip. Expect a big show on her next run at Goodwood.” She is a half-sister to the winner Fantasy Believer (Make Believe) and they are the first two foals out of the placed Lawman mare Avizare, who is a half-sister to the Listed Dee Stakes, Listed Magnolia Stakes and Listed Fairway Stakes-placed Linguistic. The second dam Dazzle Dancer won once at four and is a half-sister to the triple Listed-placed Lunduv. The third dam is the Gr.2 Prix de Malleret winner Another Dancer. We sold the homebred Samara Bay at Tattersalls Ascot, Avizare has a yearling colt which will be offered for sale at Doncaster Premier sale. Congratulations to Richard Fahey and to all Nick Brdaley’s syndicate members.
