Bungle filly Moonhall Milly scores in Del Mar

Moonhall Milly (Bungle Inthejungle ex Analasa) won over 5 1/2 furlongs at Santa Anita on June the 20th previously. Here she won the $80,000 race at Del Mar ; installed in a three-wide fifth through a :22.89 quarter, the Irish bred was within striking distance of the leaders Mylittlerunaway (Run Away and Hide) and Merneith (American Pharoah) leaving the backstretch and swung out four wide into the stretch. Appearing to idle slightly in the early stretch, Moonhall Milly ground it out through the lane and proved best of the rest, scoring by a nose over Mind Out (Tapit). Analasa is a half-sister to Italian Group 3 winner Bugie D’Amore. Congratulations to owners Red Baron’s Barn LLC and Rancho Temescal, breeder Liam Kavanagh and trainer Leonard Powell. Moonhall Milly was purchased for the US market by Niall Dalton in conjunction with Michael Donohoe of BBA Ireland.
