Pornstar Martini a new rocket for Bungle on debut
16 Aug 2020
Pornstar Martini (Bungle Inthejungle ex Misplace) was slick from the traps and held a narrow buffer underneath the stands’ side fence early in this first start. Stretching out to a one-length advantage passing the two pole, the 7-1 chance was comfortably on top thereafter and bounded further clear under whipless cajoling inside the final furlong to hit the line an impressive three lengths ahead of Colombe (Mehmas). She becomes the seventh scorer produced by a winning half-sister to Gr.3 Prix d’Hedouville winner Not Just Swing and Listed La Coupe de Marseille victress Minoa. The January foal is a full to a yearling filly (catalogued as lot 720 in Goffs Sportsmans 2020) and a half to Gr.3 Prix de Guiche third Mayweather. Descendants under the second dam, include Listed Prix Finlande victress Misbegotten, Gr.1 Falmouth Stakes heroine Nahoodh and Gr.1 Prix Jean Prat runner-up San Marino Grey. Pornstar Martini was sold by breeder Patrick Burns of Newlands House Stud to Eddie Linehan of Lackendarra Stables at Goffs Sportsmans. Eddie did a fantastic job presenting her at Tattersalls Ireland breeze-up – she clocked a very fast time – he sold her for 45,000gns to Daniel Creighton for first time flat owners Chris and Abi Haughey. Congratulations also to all at Henry Candy Racing – this was their first juvenile winner of the season. She holds a Listed entry (Redcar 2YO Trophy) later in the season and has reportedly been showing all the right signs at home.
